Unhealthy Foods

When it comes on to bad foods some experts say that you can eat them in moderation but if you really care about you and your family’s well being then its best to avoid them completely.

1. Trans Fat:

Trans fat is a toxic fat that increases bad cholesterol and reduces good cholesterol. It  damages blood vessels. Just one tablespoon of it packs a whopping 100 calories, which is, off-course, not good . Butter is a healthier option.

2. Veggie patties

Those trying to cut back on meat, veggie patties can be healthy. But many of the processed, frozen versions have more fillers used to create that burger-like texture than actual vegetables. To ensure your burger is packed with real good-for-you greens, Sandon suggests checking to make sure vegetables are listed at the beginning of the ingredient list.

3. PROCESSED Turkey:

The problem is, the turkey meat is highly processed and filled with nitrates and sodium. Whenever sodium and nitrates knock heads together they are very harmful to your heart.

4. Multigrain bread:

You thought that just because multi-grain was in front of the word bread that it was a healthy substitute for the other unhealthy breads out there but boy were you wrong. In reality this bread could be mislabeled and contain refined grains, which lack the fiber of whole grains, resulting in a blood sugar spike after you eat this bread that can lead to cravings. This is not a good habit to get into because if you give into your cravings, then you gain weight. Look at your labels, this cannot be stressed enough. If you see the word “bleached” on multi-grain bread, walk away and never look back.

5. Energy bars:

They keep you going during your workouts at the gym but what are they really doing to your body? It’s a bar full of processed chemicals. You were so hoping that this food was healthy. If you must have your energy bar, you should pick one that is less than 200 calories, 20 grams of sugar and one with the least amount of ingredients.

6. French Fries:
French fries are undoubtedly one of the most loved snacks. The crunchy and crispy potatoes are irresistible and we usually end up eating more than we should. The fact is that these fries adds kilos to your frame. It is important to do moderate exercise or consume more fruits and vegetables. Occasional indulgence is, of course, acceptable and harmless.

7. Hot Dogs:
Hot dogs taste amazing, but and are extremely unhealthy! Nearly 80% of their calories come from unhealthy saturated fat. The processed meat used in it increases the risk of heart disease and colon cancer. So, try and cut down the consumption of hot dogs. Go for healthier options like turkey sausages or lean chicken, which contain lesser fat. They are also good sources of high quality protein.

8. Sodas And Sweet Drinks:
These drinks are packed with sugar, salt and more than enough caffeine than your body needs in one serving.
